Tips on buying a Diamond Ring

As just about anyone knows, diamonds are the most valuable gems on the face of the earth. And they aren't sought after because people want to invest in them. They are considered an indispensable part of any engagement ring. When you buy a diamond ring for your sweetie though, it is rarely just a matter of trusting in a brand name or something and walking out with a stone that is worth its price. You need to know how to buy a diamond ring – how much to pay, what to look for, how to find quality, and so on. All it takes is a little planning ahead and a little patience. For something that's going to stay with your beloved for the rest of her life, this certainly is time well-spent.

Now of course, you can go into the technicalities of how to buy a diamond ring, and we will do just that. But you need to know that personal preference in what kind of diamond is acceptable can play a big part in whether your choice will make the ring’s recipient happy. Basically, when it comes to diamonds, more expense always results in more quality and more satisfaction (if you know what you’re doing). Since you're in this for the long haul, you probably want to get something that is at least a little more than you can afford – so that she’ll have something she’s proud of for a long time.

Jewellery stores have this habit of claiming that they buy directly from the mines and that there's no middleman involved. Well even if they do get their blood diamonds straight from Africa's child soldiers, that's no guarantee that you getting the best price. Most jewellery stores offer a kind of insurance program. You want to go with one of those. For the most trustworthy jewellers out there, try looking up a recommendation on internet forums. With diamond earrings or anything else, you may not really need to pay all that much attention to quality. A ring lives right there on a pretty finger though, and it's easy to gaze into it all the time. You need to really figure out how to buy a diamond ring.

But you do need also to go to a place that gives you the best price possible. How you know what price to take as your baseline? You could try reputable dealers in either new or used diamond jewellery.

But even in these places, you do need a bit of an education on how to buy a diamond ring. If you want to go with the least education possible, go with something that has certification. Who certifies diamonds, or a dealer who has genuine knowledge.

Basically, buying a diamond is all about knowing the intrinsic worth it has – its weight in carats, its clarity, its cut and its colour.

Diamonds are weighed in carats. To save money, if you have a two carat diamond in mind, try going for something that's 1.95 carats. No one will know the difference, and you'll save big bucks. When the jeweller refers to the cut of a diamond, he's referring to how sparkly and brilliant the stone looks because it's been expertly cut and polished. A well-cut diamond looks much larger and much more present than a poorly cut diamond.
At Happy Hockers we have experts in all fields of jewellery and can guide you in all aspects on diamond ring purchases.

Its such as you learn my mind! You appear to grasp so much
approximately this, such as you wrote the book in it or something.
I believe that you simply could do with some percent to force the message
house a bit, but other than that, this is excellent blog.
An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
